Describe Yourself:

I have two children, well not exactly children. I have a twenty two year old son, who has blessed me with a granddaughter, who will be five on the 15th of September. I also have an 19 year old daughter, who will be 20 in October. She is to much like her mother for her own good, lol! Seriously they are great, and both make me extremely proud to be their mother.
Professionally, I manage a residential facility for two adults with autism. I enjoy the field. There are times when I find it very rewarding, and times when I find it challenging. Over the years I have found that I require both to remain content. Who knows though, time will tell.
On Gather, I'm Looking For ...:

Connect with people who have similiar interest. As well has the opportunity to develop new interest. I truly enjoy opportunity to listen and learn from a variety of view points. My thought is that an open mind makes you open to learn and experience new things. For one to be closed off, well it certainly limits their opportunity for personal growth. Personal growth, is something I plan to continously seek. And I'm hoping Gather offers that in a variety of ways.

I enjoy all types of music. Seriously, I haven't found anything I don't like. But I do have to add that my all time favorite is the Eagles.

I prefer educational books. But I do enjoy a good novel from time to time. I enjoy Tess Gerritsen, Patricia Cornwell, and Sidney Seldon, along with several others.
Favorite Movies, Actors, Genres:

Legend of the Falls, Officer and a Gentlemen, Gone With the Wind, City of Angels, A Few Good Men, Endangerment.
Favorite TV Shows, Actors:

CSI, Criminal Minds
Favorite Places:

The waterfall that isn't far from my house. It relaxes me.
Interests and Activities:

This is a hard one because I have a lot of interest and enjoy a variety of activities. I enjoy horseback riding, hiking, workouts, weights (enough to firm, prefer the femine look). I like swimming, walking, rock climbing. I love camping and enjoying the wilderness. Studying and learning is always a must. I always enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I'll leave it at that. , It would have been much easier and quicker to write about what I'm not interested in and activies that I am not interested in.
Wish List:

Another hard one question. I don't know. A cure for cancer, AIDS, along with numerous other things. I can't go there right now. My wish list is a long one. Hopefully before much longer, I will be able to make an update.

Yes, thanks. Gather finally came back from vacation and told him to take it down because it was in violation of both the Gather TOS and the law. I confirmed with an intellectual property and copyright attorney that he did, in fact, violate the automatic copyright and that his garbage about "fair use exemption" only applies for educational uses, not for uses on web sites that pay per post (i.e., profit motive). Which of course I told him. But dishonesty knows no bounds in some people. Or ethics for that matter.

In any case, I will delete any attempt he makes to leave a comment on my post. I have a problem with such dishonesty.

Actually, may not be on much for a while - working on something more important.

Connie, thank you for the lovely ping! I haven't had a very good summer. Combined problems with bipolar, menopause, and just plain scared because my hubby was laid off indefinitely. Well, he's back to work, time will tell if it's full time or not. But I'm still struggling. So I haven't been on much this summer; I just feel sort of shy about sharing my struggles here on Gather, considering all the bickering and nasty stuff going on here. So I've chosen to suffer by myself. I am feeling a little bit better now, and just got some of my meds needed for bipolar filled so I'm hoping that will help even more.
